Yerelin Checo, LMHC

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Florida with an Education Specialist degree in Metal Health Counseling from Florida Atlantic University. I completed a Masters degree in School Psychology from Barry University and obtained a Bachelors degree in Psychology at Florida Atlantic University. I specialize in working with adults, children, couples, trauma recovery, life transitions, loss and grieving, women's empowerment, and stress and anxiety management.
I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the most important part of the therapeutic process. Therefore, I strive to create a trusting relationship and a comfortable environment with all my clients. The approach I take is one of collaboration, respect and compassion. My style is solution focused with a strong emphasis on the cognitive behavioral therapeutic framework. Services can be provided in English or Spanish and I accept clients for therapeutic counseling via tele-health who are located in Florida.
